provide grant assistance to Cities and Counties that are switching to digital agendas and building web research centers.

Created by M.C. on November 15, 2011

Cities, Counties, School & Utility Districts all have public agendas that are created, compiled, posted and printed for every meeting of every Council, Committee & Commission across the United States. Agenda packets containing hundreds of pages or supporting documents are printed and hand delivered. Simply switching to a digital agenda rather than a printed copy will save tens of thousands of dollars in paper, collating, printer maintenance and delivery fees.
Existing, cloud based solutions can streamline this process and reduce paper usage from initial bill drafting through publication of minutes. These also increase government transparency by putting legislation online in an easily searchable format. Municipalities wanting to implement such programs should have federal grant options.
