provide hassle free veterans identification

I propose a National ID card for Veterans where the administration or Congress passes a law for hassle free Veterans recognition. You can direct the VA to do this or ask the governors to work with there DMV's to create veteran recognition. I would suggest to the states a very simple idea: add a box on their respective state-issued driver’s license with a simple “V” for veteran. It could be a watermark or something easily readable by each state. If you are an honorably-discharged veteran, simply take your DD-214 with you to the DMV to get the status. If you are a vet and you don’t want it, then you have the option not to add it. If we can have height ,weight, hair color, and eye color, then why can’t we have a V for veteran? We are already acknowledging some veterans with vanity plates.
