I have been a 100% disabled veteran for 38 years. I could not qualify for a home by merely listing the [entirely adequate] amount of VA Disabled Veteran Income -- until 12 years ago. I had to save $33,000.00 for 26 years as a down payment. Disabled veterans should not be forced to shuffle from rental to rental as rents rise over the course of years. A home that is built [or modified] at time of receiving a 100% disabled rating that is total and permanent is the right path.
Thank you.
