Provide immediate humanitarian aid to the civillians of syria, on a scale that would actually make a difference

It may not be our responsibility to "police the world" but from the beggining of our nations history we have told the world to look to us as the shining example. If we can stand idly by and do nothing while tens of thousands of innocent men, women, and children suffer and die then we are as evil and heartless as the individuals that flew planes into the world trade center. And to those who still believe it not be our problem I say this. It is more than our problem, it is our god given duty to do anything in our power to alleviate the suffering of other peoples. A duty our forebears forever shackled us with when they exterminated and assimilated the indigenous people of this land we today call America.
