This petition asks the United States government to provide immediate military assistance to Ukraine which is currently being invaded by Russia. Russia has already annexed Crimea and is poised to annex additional regions of Ukraine. Absent a clear and decisive message by the United States to Vladimir Putin that it is a contravention of international law for one country to steal a portion of a sovereign nation by force, Russia will proceed to annex additional regions of Ukraine and subject the Ukrainian people to oppression and human rights abuses like it is already happening to Ukrainians and Tatars in Crimea. The requested military aid does not have to include American soldiers but should include assistance in the form of weapons, munitions, logistics and training.
