Provide incentives to convert cars to natural gas to reduce US dependence on imported oil and reduce carbon emissions

Created by G.G. on January 20, 2013

1. Provide tax incentives to consumers to buy natural gas power cars or to convert their existing vehicle to natural gas:
a. Natural gas produces 40% less greenhouse gas than gasoline
b. Natural gas costs 1/4 the price of gasoline for the same mileage.
c. Automobile engines have been shown to last longer and require less maintenance when running on natural gas.
2. Provide the necessary filling station infrastructure by offering tax incentives to the first 1,000 filling stations to add quick-fill natural gas pumps.
3. Provide additional funding through DARPA-E for the development of a low-cost home NG compressor.
