Provide incentives to gun owners to properly secure their weapons in the home to reduce thefts and accidents.

If securely stored, firearms that are securely stored in the home will be less inclined to fall into the hands of criminals as the result of home burglaries. In addition, those same securely stored firearms will be less accessible to family and friends that may fall victim to accidental shootings.

The government should provide incentives for the purchase of gun safes, lockers, etc. in support of more secure firearm storage in the homes of law abiding citizens.
