Currently in America there is a repeating chain of parents who overprotect their children until the day they turn 18. The nature of this type of parenting involves safeguarding their child from any type of harm or experience of independence. This is against the moral foundation of a children's or Teens emergence into society as an individual. Unfortunately as a child or teen growing up through such a flawed style inhibits growth of emotional and even physical abilities in society. In the position of a child or teen growing up, they either don't have an ability to speak against it or get help. They're completely defenseless due to the fact that "Parents know best". In this case parents need to be informed of the danger about the over protection of children or teens.
