As most job seekers know, the current processes involved in obtaining employment has done a 180 in the past few years. No longer can you walk in with your resume, you have to go through the Applicant Tracking System, or ATS software. I have been unemployed for three years, and have had plenty of time to research the practices most companies employ, and it is definitely in need of a solution. Even after speaking with a Federal Recruiter, I was told that their Federal Agency is not happy with the approach of this ATS software, as they too have seen better qualified candidates being discarded.
