Provide Legislation to establish and protect the rights of Independant, Sole Proprietors, who work from their homes.

Created by R.S. on November 03, 2011

Provide legislation & enforcement for payment protection of home based independant workers. In todays economic climate, thousands of American workers work from their homes on a FT basis. These workers provide critical support services to Private & Publicly held organizations; roles include sales representatives, customer relations, IT support etc. Many of these workers do not get paid, at all, for their efforts. In the case of sales reps, companies who gain NEW customers are not paying for them. In addition, employers short payments, or ignore the request for payment altogether. The only remedy is a costly lawsuit which deters attempts of collection. To exacerbate the problem, these issues occur over State lines. American workers trying to "work on" are stymied in their attempts.
