Russia is actively giving weapons, equipment and irregular troops to the separatists currently in Ukraine. To help the Ukraine armed forces defend their country we need to give them the lethal aid they requested. For example, ammunition, anti-tank rockets and etc. We have been providing non-lethal aid but this is not enough. For the Ukrainian armed forces to hold out against the separatists and their new Russian equipment we need to give the Ukrainians something to help counter the threat. We need to stand up for a potential ally that can help us strengthen our alliances in Europe instead of turning a blind eye. Putin needs to know that we will not stand for the kind of game he is playing Ukraine. If we do nothing there will be nothing to deter him from doing this again and again.
