The Hong Kong government continues to ignore the people's request for universal suffrage. Yesterday, government sanctioned terrorist groups assaulted innocent protestors. Dozens of citizens including children and women were injured and instead of making arrests, the police assisted the assailants by providing them with protection. The situation in Hong Kong has become critical and the people are desperate for help.
We ask the Obama administration to please assist the people of Hong Kong in their fight for freedom and democracy, including military assistance if necessary.
