As depicted in "Lone Survivor," in July 2005, a four-man U.S. Navy SEAL team was inserted into the Pech district of Afghanistan's Kunar Province, on a mission entitled Operation Red Wings. The team was soon ambushed by anti-Coalition forces. Only Hospital Corpsman First Class Marcus Luttrell survived. Luttrell was found by a local Pashtun villager, Mohammad Gulab. Gulab knew that Luttrell was an American, but he still brought Luttrell into his home and, with the help of other villagers, defended him until U.S. forces could extract him.
Today, Mr. Gulab and his family are in grave danger, as the Taliban has marked him for death. We ask that Mr. Gulab and his family be provided with safe haven and passage to the U.S. For more info, read http://bit.ly/1jOnjUT
