Provide money to states to set up mental health centers that reach out to people who have the intent to harm

Too many shootings and suicides have occured in the past few years and now having the mass shootings in colorado, oregon and connecticuit, I believe it's time for the government to invest money into this issue. By singing this petition you would be asking the government to give money to each of the individual states so they can set up mental health centers that focus on reaching out to people who may be mentally ill and have the intent to harm themselves and others. I believe this should be carried out by the individual states, not the federal government because the states know their people better. Hopefully this would help to prevent the rise of killings and suicides. Please sign this petition now!
