Due to lobbying by the NRA and other pro-firearm organizations, there has been little to no serious federally funded research into gun violence in the past decade. The task force (Headed by Vice President Biden) that was formed after the tragedy in Sandy Hook, CT, cannot do an effective job without access to up to date gun research by organizations other than the NRA or other anti-gun-control groups. We the People ask for more federally funded gun research that is both thorough and unbiased, so that you, our government, can more effectively debate the gun related issues of today.
