Provide more funding for the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Community.

Created by D.W. on April 17, 2012

The need for Funding Research in the Duchenne Community is a Vital Key to End Duchenne. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is the most common lethal genetic muscle disorder diagnosed in young boys. It is a progressive muscle disorder that causes loss of muscle function and independence.

Progression:

Typically boys diagnosed with Duchenne lose their ability to walk between the ages of 10 & 14. These boys will lose most of their upper body strength, including their ability to move their arms by late teens. Later in life they will require respiratory support.

To date there is no Cure, but with funding for research we can make the difference and create the Cure.
