Congress established the Constitutional Post in 1775 to ensure communication, to inform the public. In 2011, President Obama ordered the government to expand electronic archives to “move the process into the digital age so the American public can have access to clear and accurate information about the decisions and actions of the federal government.” Internet access must not persist as an elitist tool. Low-cost networks are needed for the welfare of the nation. Private industry must not persist in padding the digital divide with inflated fees.
Online electronic highways re-enforce economic growth and social progress. The Postal Service, with a foundation older than our nation, is bankrupt but communities are fighting closures. People need an alternative: a national Internet service.
