provide no-cost Medigap coverage for VA medical care eligible veterans also enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B

Created by D.H. on January 18, 2015

Veterans currently receiving medical care through VA and yet also purchasing Medicare Part A and Part B should receive VA paid Medigap coverage, expanding their options when seeking treatment.

Such a structure would not only benefit veterans but would also reduce overall VA costs. Further, the near term plan of VA to hire tens of thousands of doctors and provide supporting infrastructure could be curtailed and veterans would have increased opportunity to receive potentially life-saving care in a timely manner.
