Provide opportunity and encourage Pharmacists to provide MTM services inside and outside of community settings.

At present, most of the pharmacists in the community settings are not willing to provide Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services. When pharmacists were interviewed and asked about the reason for not interested in providing the MTM services, they explained that in the community settings they do not have enough time to provide MTM services and they also do not get paid extra for providing MTM services. Owner of the pharmacy is getting paid for Providing MTM services from Medicare and medicaid but Pharmacists are not getting paid extra amount for providing such services. Obama administration should think seriously about this issue. Specific guidelines and regulations should be developed and mould into policy for providing MTM services and it will help motivating pharmacist to provide MTM
