As part of it's dedication to accountability the Obama administration should require John Pistole to provide a response consisting of more than bullet points to a petition to abolish the TSA which has currently been signed by over 31,000 Americans. This response should include explanations as to why there is such a large budget for a program with a 70% failure rate, some rationale that can justify the small amount of good the TSA may have done compared to the delays, intrusions, and costs associated with TSA policies, a description of the "rigorous vetting program" potential employees undergo, and reasons why there should not an independent board reviewing the TSA, from Mr. Pistole down, due to their numerous documented abuses of power and intrusions on liberty.
