Provide Ostomy Products for Americans When they Need Them

Having an ostomy or stoma in American is a challenge. Worse, the government has made supplies for these conditions as a durable medical equipment, when in fact they are disposable items. The government needs to look at making products for these patients readily available in retail stores and pharmacies. The fact that thousands of patients suffer without product either due to the governments control on how many item they are entitled to with reimbursement, from where they can get supplies. Wounds the ravage the skin and eat away at the flesh can be avoided if we made products available to patients as they need them without going through a multiple steps from seeing a nurse and or doctor, getting a script, finding a supplier that carries an item, etc., in the meantime their skin breaks down.
