Without regulation of the intelligence agencies, the military and police, we risk becoming a police state and loss of civil rights. Many would argue that we have already lost our civil rights due to increasing accounts of police brutality, inter agency coverups, military control/influence of government and the astronomical growth of the military industrial complex. As a civilized society and growing global movement toward peace, our militarized society must be controlled or we risk self extinction.
