Provide paths to residency for those who entered the U.S. legally. Stop anything that encourages illegal immigration.

Created by K.C. on February 22, 2015

It is true that the immigration situation needs a major fix. However, proposing and/or passing legislation that encourages illegal immigration is not a fix. Laws are laws. Everyone is equal under the law. We petition that the government work on a bipartisan solution that starts with (i) making amendments to the law if needed, (ii) encourage legal immigration by opening up job opportunities and paths to residency/citizenship to those who chose to abide by the law and entered the country leagally, and (iii) penalize illegal behavior as defined under the current immigration law, and stop any language or action that may encourage illegal immigration. Let the U.S. remain strong by being a country of lawful immigrants.
