Provide permanent credit and identify theft protection for Federal Employees due to the OPM Data Breach.

Created by R.E. on June 24, 2015

OPM failed to properly protect all Federal Employee Personal Information. Millions of staff are impacted and providing 18 months of protection is insufficient. If the people responsible have any ill intent all they need to do is wait 18 months. It will probably take that long just to sort or sell the information for nefarious reasons. The OPM Director stated that no one person is responsible nor does the government accept liability for failing to properly protect our information. Now it's all out there and it wasn't even encrypted. The agency as a whole and the government we work for failed to protect our personal information and it's out there permanently, it doesn't just disappear after 18 months. So neither should the credit and identity monitoring provided to those of us impacted.
