A bipartisan Senate Committee has endorsed giving green cards to graduates of Masters and PhD STEM programs.
This measure needs to be enhanced to include those who entered the United States as a student or a skilled worker and have since maintained a continuous legal status for more than 10 years
a. through continued education or employment
b. have no criminal record and
c. have filed all their tax returns
This measure would greatly benefit those who have their immigrant visas pending due to USCIS backlogs, have maintained permanent resident qualifications for over a decade and are in every sense already an integral part of the United States economy.
