Nearly every petition response that "We the People" have been given is frankly nothing short of shoving a pacifier in a screaming, hungry baby. An example would be the recent petition response "Ensuring the Safety and Security of the Nation...", in which Ms. Lisa Monaco (by the way when will we get a response from our actual president, not some random secretary) simply regurgitated the same frivolous reassurances that the President gave when passing the NDAA for 2012, "Don't worry, you have my word that I won't use this vague bill against your civil rights". Nothing in that response nor in Obama's Post-It note statement mentioned how Congress actually plans to do that. Stop with the bureaucracy. Stop patronizing your citizens and actually answer us, Mr. President. Not your secretary.
