We propose that President Obama completes his second term in office with an executive order to provide reparation, in the form of land grants, to all US citizens who have descended from slaves and whose labor contributed to the building of this country and the success of the United States of America. This order would not involve direct monetary compensation, but land, which is still available.
This action serves to benefit all United States citizens and will provide all Americans the opportunity to teach, learn, grow and improve the current economic situation of this great nation. A form of stimulus.
An order for reparations serves as a form of recompense; not retaliation. This is the right time to provide reparations and this is an ideal final action from our 44th president.
