Reperations are overdue for the African-American people for the oppression they have and continue to suffer. The ill-treatment of the African-American race and their descendants has not stopped and the time has come for them to be reimbursed. This nation has a debt to the African-American people that the mirage of change has not and cannot erase. Despite the many promises to eradicate injustice and provide equality for all mankind, alas, we are still short-changed by a society that boast of being overwhelmingly wealthy. Yet we are still left without wealth and equality but to cling on to the unfulfilled promises of justice and prosperity. We as African-Americans shall band together to rightfully claim this land that grows fruitful from the blood of our forefathers who built this nation.
