Provide Residency Training Opportunities to All IMGs Who Have Passed the USMLEs And Hold the ECFMG Certificate

Created by Y.L. on June 17, 2013

The United States have been short of medical providers. However, over 10,000 medical graduates every year who passed United States Medical Licensure Examinations, including over 6,000 International Medical Graduates who also have the ECFMG Certificate, failed to match into a residency training position. This number is increased to almost 15,000 in year 2013. This means more than one third of the total applicants, half of the IMGs, could not find a training position. In this great country, when people graduated from qualified medical schools and passed all required examinations for medical residency training, they should have the right to get the training. And this right should be fulfilled and protected.
