The petition put forward to Abolish the TSA was met with a response by John Pistole administrator of the TSA.
John Pistole is part of the Administration that the petition criticizes and thus is an impartial party in any response to it. As head of the TSA he issued a response that essentially boiled down to "The TSA is doing a good job and making you safe." While that would be a fantastic notion if in fact true, it is exactly the notion that we would expect from his position. He could hardly say "We aren't doing a very good job, we should be abolished," and respond himself out of a job.
