Provide the same health insurance to our honorably discharged veterans that we the taxpayers make possible for congress

Created by C.T. on April 11, 2015

While health insurance is not free for congress, since WE pay them $174,000 a year with MANY other benefits, they can certainly afford what little it does cost them. They have the same plan choices as 8 mil federal employees, which DOES NOT include our veterans, They do however, have many extras, such as an in house physician at their disposal, and immediate care at ANY V.A. facility.....no waiting weeks, or even months, like our vets!! You would think they'd be ashamed to take a spot from a vet...guess not! I do not include in this statement, members of congress who are also vets, they are vets first! The median salary for enlisted members of the armed services is 33,141, and they work, more than 3.5 days a week, or, about 137 days a year, which is congresses "work" schedule. Must be nice
