Provide schools with escape routes, and or safe rooms that can used to escape bodily harm from a gunman.

Currently, schools have no escape doors or escape routes from class rooms or bullet proof safe rooms. Teachers are instructed to gather students in classrooms, shut the door and lock it, kids are herded into closets or corners away from doors and windows. The result has been horrendous.
Provide bullet proof safe rooms, or at the least escape routes/doors students can use to leave the building. Locked doors and blacked out windows are no protection. It takes seconds to shoot through a locked door.
