In the final weeks leading up to the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election, Republican Party nominee Donald J. Trump has been making increasing use of rhetoric emphasizing a "stolen" election, deflecting the blame for his own unpopularity from his own words and actions and onto a supposed epidemic of voter fraud.
Voter fraud has been found by multiple studies to be an extremely rare occurrence, and several experts have already state that Donald Trump's rhetoric carries a danger of inciting his supporters to intimidate voters, particularly minority voters, at the polls.
We call upon the President of the United States to offer increased security at polling places to prevent voter intimidation during this monumental election in United States history.
