I find the lack of education of people in this country alarming. Our standardization of education has failed us, because we have set our standards so low.
If these states truly wish to withdraw from the Nation, I recommend a one-year probationary period without any Federal aid or assistance whatsoever. That means no more FEMA for Jersey, no more Federal loans for college-level education, no more National Guard or Coast Guard.
If, in that year, they are solvent, run their government budget without deficit, or basically anything else they think the Obama administration does wrong, let them withdraw. If not, say nice try and give them a cookie. Then try them for treason.
Then declare war on them, slap them around, reclaim them, and make them the White House's bitch.
