Student Loans are provided to individuals for the purpose of pursuing a Degree in the field they wish to work in. I believe it is unfair and discriminatory that many people acquire degrees in a particular field and never pursue that trade, but go on to public service or Government jobs only to have their student loans forgiven, meanwhile, millions of Americans get Degrees in a profession they dedicate their lives to only to be indebted to the Government for the rest of their lives. A good portion of a person's student loan, if that person pursues a career for which he or she has acquired a Degree for should be forgiven. The foregiveness program is unfair, discriminating and should be revised to allow everybody the same opportunity Government workers and public service employees get.
