provide a system of labeling alcoholic mass or volume system in retail alcoholic beverages so we may track our usage.

Created by J.G. on April 06, 2014

It is handy, healthy, and safe to know how much alcohol one consumes or may consume. Currently this feat is mentally difficult, requiring a calculation based on the volume and the particular given percentage of alcohol in the drink. This calculation becomes more difficult with additional servings. It is dangerously difficult for some people to keep track of the amount of alcohol they ingest because of the difficulty and tediousness of the necessary calculation.

We petition to cause commercial retail labeling to contain either an accurate alcohol mass or volume per serving or a number which represents the ratio by which a given serving's alcoholic content differs from a standard alcoholic drink (say a shot of any 100 proof beverage).

Knowing how much we drink will save lives and injuries.
