provide tax incentives for the planting of trees as a means of climate control rather than the destruction of industry.

Created by R.P. on July 16, 2014

The 80% emission reduction commonly held as necessary to prevent disaster is outrageous. Instead of dismantling United States industry and infrastructure, the government ought to be providing tax incentives to the public to plant trees. Trees that are already growing spawn many hundreds of seedlings each spring, and with a little effort, these can be relocated and abandoned fields and lots can be made into tiny forests that will consume more atmospheric carbon dioxide. Then there will be no need to sacrifice our industry and infrastructure on the alter of climate change.
