The U.S. Government needs to provide translations of all state and federal government statutes, laws, regulations and bills from legalese to standard English. Legalese typically contains words and phrases that are used almost exclusively in law and that often have different meanings than in standard English. Transparency in government includes providing clear, informative and understandable translations to the general populous, as free of opinion and as complete as the current but outdated legal documents. It's time to redesign the language of law to make it more accessible to every American citizen.
