It has now been a year of Ukraine's resistance to the Russian invasion. The Ukrainian troops fight courageously yet the country continues to suffer a major loss of life and territory due to the meager and dated weaponry it has at its disposal as well as due to Russia's repeated breaches of ceasefire agreements.
Numerous NATO allies feel gravely concerned about their own safety should Ukraine fall and have expressed their support for providing Ukraine with defensive weapons. There is also a bi-partisan support for this move in the US Congress and Senate that have both granted President Obama the right to supply Ukraine with defensive weaponry.
We plead to President Obama to exercise his power and finally grant our friend and ally Ukraine the defensive weapons it so desperately needs.
