Wouldn't it be great if... since the President encouraged that we should all enter the gun control debate... I think the responsible thing to do then would be to create a page of links from maybe the white house website for recommendations from psych and communications professors around the country on the topic of arguing productively?
We have been called upon to enter this discussion, and so I say... we need some ground rules, people. Then we need to practice them. Because name calling will get us nowhere. Come one, come all... let us become familiar with how to at least argue respectfully. I think that is step one. We need to find things we can agree on.
We need to actually evolve. ;)
