Veterans and Civilian Disabled are facing increasing inability maintain household stability and sustainability in light of increasing prices of commodities such as food and energy, and the effect of housing inflation during the "housing bubble". The Administration should seek increases in the monthly payments, assuring a sustainable lifestyle for Veterans and Disabled Civilians. Additionally, increased payments will create economic stimulus in an ongoing way, Savings may be made in health care due to better nutrition and decreased stress. Additionaly, reduction of burden on Non Governmental Agencies working with poor will lead to broader support of others during the current economic crisis. Potential savings may also accrue in broad ways by aiding access to rehabilitation programs.
