If the government cannot figure out how to PAY OFF our debt, American citizens need to take control and fix the problem.
Americans need to be able to raise funds and donate money to be applied directly towards our debt and nothing else. This would not REDUCE the amount of funds that the federal government pays each month, they would continue to pay the bills as they have in the past until the debt is resolved.
All funds that individuals, companies, and groups raise would be considered the same as other charitable contributions.
You will find American's (including the low income) truly care about our country, and will give up whatever they can to eliminate this debt.
Let's eliminate our credit card and high interest payments, and funds will be available for both parties interests.
