Public Servant Hate Crime Violence Act

Recommendation-law enforcement officers and/or law enforcement employees who are specifically targeted during a crime or attempted crime of violence; if such act is due just because they are in a law enforcement capacity, said crime of violence would be considered a hate crime. Hate crime by definition is 'a crime of violence motivated by prejudice or intolerance towards another individual or group, based on various factors. Furthermore-a crime of violence against a law enforcement employee (sworn/civilian/auxiliary/volunteer) because they are in the law enforcement community is by said definition-a hate crime. This stipulation should cover all employees in the law enforcement community, including all public/state/federal/retired/past employees.
