Publically support a constitutional amendment preserving the integrity of the popular vote.

Created by T.K. on January 25, 2013

Whereas certain political groups have gained momentum in proposing legislation allowing the gerrymandering of congressional districts to apply to presidential elections, believing such tactics to be an acceptable method of using the electoral college as a means of disenfranchising voters on a broad scale, we demand that Article II of the United States Constitution be amended to reflect the importance of the popular vote.

This issue is extremely important as the fair and equitable system of democratic election in our great Republic is legitimately at risk. The key is to require the statewide popular vote to be the single determining factor when individual states apportion their electoral votes to a specific candidate. We, the People, demand the protection of our franchise without delay.
