Dear Pres. Obama,
it has become increasingly clear that the police response to occupy, and University of California protests is excessive and violates police guidelines for use of force, and use of pepper spray. In Seattle, and Oakland teargas has been sprayed on whole crowds indiscriminately this is explicitly against the police public safety policies of both of those cities. We would like you to publicly acknowledge that the police are employing an excessive response and systematically discouraging freedom of speech, and assembly.
In the past you have publicly condemned similar practices by police and armed forces in “emerging democracies” we call upon you now to do the same for your own people.
