Mayor Michael Bloomberg's "Stop & Frisk" Policy infringes on the 4th Amendment Rights of millions of New York City residents against illegal search and seizure. Since this policy was enacted, more than five million American Citizens have been stopped and frisked on the streets of NYC. Evidence shows that the vast majority of those people who are stopped are black and latino youths and many are stopped without probable cause or even resonable suspiscion. This is a clear violation not only of our Constitution but the civil and human rights of all Americans. This policy which encourages racial profiling and violation of civil liberties must be struck down.
