Publicly announce a position with respect to H.R. 40.

Created by M.L. on April 13, 2015

We the people request that the President of The United States publicly announce a position with respect to H.R. 40, which was last introduced in the United States House of Representatives by Representative John Conyers (D-MI) on January 6, 2015. In summary, the purpose of H.R. 40 is to establish a Commission to examine (i) the fundamental injustice and impact of racial slavery, de jure and de facto discrimination in the colonies and the United States from 1619 through the present and (ii) the various reparations proposals for African-Americans as an appropriate and necessary remedy. If the President is not in support of H.R. 40, please provide an explanation.
