publicly apologize and pay reparations to the people of Iran for being complicit in the nerve gas attacks on 3/15/1988

Created by M.C. on August 27, 2013

Recently released documents published by Foreign Policy magazine (http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2013/08/25/secret_cia_files_prove_...) details that the U.S. knew of Sadaam Hussein's possession of and ability to use chemical weapons in Iraq's war against Iran. Sensitive information was provided to Hussein's government by the U.S. to alert him to an upcoming threat from Iran. With this information, Hussein launched a chemical weapons attack against the Iranians.

Though we may not be directly responsible, our knowledge of the weapons combined with the information we provided makes our government complicit in one of the most severe chemical weapons attacks in history. Human rights and common decency demands we apologize and make reparations
