We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Publicly condemn acts of violence being perpetrated by protestors of the 2016 presidential elections.

Created by M.C. on November 14, 2016

While the right to publicly assemble and voice an opinion is guaranteed in the Constitution, and should be supported, resorting to acts of violence is unacceptable. President Obama has shown tremendous class in his public statements regarding President Elect Trumps victory. I ask that he please use his influence to call for calm and an end to the violence overtaking the streets of our cities. I ask that President Barack Obama ask Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump to make a joint statement calling for an end to all acts of violence.
