The Obama Administration should publicly condemn Russia's most recent attempt to discriminate against its LGBT citizens.
Recently, the government of Russia has been increasingly hostile to its LGBT population. It started with the amendment to the "Russian federal law On Protecting Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development" that was "for the Purpose of Protecting Children from Information Advocating for a Denial of Traditional Family Values." Now, in January 2015, the Russian Prime minister has signed a decree that bans people with “disorders of sexual preference" from driving.
This blatant discrimination towards Russia's LGBT population needs to be condemned by the administration with a strong public statement.
